Isle Of Man

An island in the Irish Sea, located 51 kilometres east of Ireland, 48 kilometres west of England, and 24 kilometres south of Scotland. It has a rocky, indented coastline and is about 53 kilometres long by 10 to 19 kilometres wide. The island is well watered, the principal rivers being the Santon, the Silver Burn, the Neb-Rhenass, the Sulby, near Ramsey, and the Dhoo and Glass rivers, which form the River Douglas. Mountains extend nearly the length of the island. The highest is Snaefell, 620 metres high. Some of the valleys have rich pastures, and livestock is raised extensively.

National Anthem:
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen.

O Lord our God arise,
Scatter her enemies,
And make them fall:
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix:
God save us all.

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign:
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen.
