Trinidad and Tobago



Main island of Trinidad and smaller island of Tobago to northeast lie in Caribbean Sea between latitudes 10 degrees and 11 degrees north and longitudes 61 degrees and 62 degrees west, very close to Venezuela on South American mainland. Three mountain ranges cross Trinidad in north, south and centre; flat central plain and undulating southern plain. One-fifth of islands consists of forest.
