KUALA LUMPUR, 21 Sept 98 (Bernama):
BY Asan Ahmad
As soon as G.Saravanan crossed the finishing line to win the 50km walk gold this morning, the walker rushed to look for his wife and infant son who were waiting nearby.
Holding both in his arms, Saravanan said his son had brought luck to him, who had earlier rewrote the annals of Malaysian athletics history.
Saravanan's son, Prasad, born last June 11 was at the event's venue, -- Tasik Titiwangsa, since 7am with his mother M. Shassikala, to cheer on Saravanan in the race.
"If my son know how to talk, definitely he will join in the victory celebration," Saravanan said.
