Artistic and rhythmic gymnastics events will be held at the new
international standard Indoor Stadium at the National Sports Complex in
Bukit Jalil, 600 m from the Games Village. The fully air-conditioned stadium
has a permanent seating capacity for 13,000 and additional retractable
seating facilities for 3,000.
Many of the functional areas of the indoor stadium are accommodated on two
floor levels below the main concourse/entrance level.
The arena level consists of areas for athletes, competition management and a
training and warm-up hall which is essential for international sporting events.
The higher level includes rooms for the press, VIPs and administration. Each
area has a separate entrance to allow users to reach their reserved seats
directly.
At ground level, the spectators' main concourse can be approached from three
different sites. The ground level houses all spectator facilities such as
shops, restaurants, first-aid room, post office, banks, etc.

- Arena size - 38 m x 68 m
- Minimum clear height above arena - 12.5 m
- Electronic scoreboard
- Lighting system for colour television broadcast
Warm-Up Area
The warm-up hall is 16 m away from the main competition hall. The entrance
to the main hall from the warm-up arena is located at level one. The warm-up
hall is 43 m x 9 m and 8 m in height.
Training Venues
Two training venues are available:
- The Maktab Perguruan Teknik Hall in Cheras, is situated 7 km from the
Games Village, and a mere ten-minute drive away.
- Two training halls in the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex.
