The weightlifting events will be held at the Malaysian International
Exhibition and Showroom. MINES is the largest exhibition centre in Malaysia
and is situated 5 km from the Games Village.
The centre is situated within the unique Mines Resort City with its
beautiful lakes and canal where Malaysia's very first water taxis will ferry
visitors to the Mines Resort and Golf Club, Mines Wonderland, Mines Shopping
Fair, flagship hotel Palace of the Golden Horses, Mines Business Park, and
Entertainment Canal.
The competition hall in the MINES is fully air-conditioned and has a seating
capacity of 4,000. The competition platform will be placed on a podium.
Training and Warm-Up Venues
The training venue is located at the convocation hall in Universiti Putra
Malaysia, 10 km away from the Games Village. The hall is air-conditioned and
equipped with all weightlifting equipment and training platforms.
The warm-up venue is situated adjacent to the competition hall.
